Harini Anne shares her soul consciousness journey at Gyan Sarovar Retreat, discovering Raj Yoga, positive affirmations, and connecting with the Supreme Soul.
Hi, I am Harini. I come from Hyderabad. I lead the IT center of excellence of one of the world’s largest pharmaceutical companies, and I’ve been here in the Empowering Retreat at Gyan Sarovar for the last three days.
It’s been an amazing, eye-opening journey so far, starting off with the introduction of Rajyoga principles, changing the whole belief of how we are operating—moving away from being body conscious to soul conscious. Something that we were never taught or even aware of. I think it brings in a whole new perspective to the way of living.
The Gyan, the knowledge that we received, is something that we have not heard of or been taught in our entire education system. The way we meditate, the way we connect with the Supreme Soul to charge our minds, and how we imbibe it in our daily lives to have the most beautiful life—because this is all about life, right, and the being. Of course, how to share Seva, I think it’s beautiful. It’s opened up new horizons, new ways of looking at life, rather than always thinking, “What am I getting from the world? Why am I not receiving?” to more about our original self of being the givers.
It’s also about sharing, the power of thoughts, the power of positive thoughts, the power of affirmations, and also the awareness of how digital technologies can be addictive and counterproductive by damaging the brain. Right? I think it’s extremely important. Being away from technology is not possible—we’ve got to embrace it to get the benefits from it, but also be conscious of its downsides and how to manage that for healthy living. I think it’s been an amazing journey.
What we’ve learned, I just look forward to taking it forward, to practicing it in day-to-day life to get the best out of it. It’s a paradigm shift, moving from body conscious to being soul conscious.
Getting introduced to the soul itself was like “Wow, why haven’t we ever thought about this?” I mean, we’ve got all the worldly things in life—your cars, your money, your position—and still, there is that little unhappiness. Why? Because this is not what we’re looking for. It’s not what the body is looking for. It’s the soul.
That in itself is just eye-opening—learning the virtues of the soul, how to enrich your soul, how to take care of your body. I think when you start with that, everything else is just an additional dimension.
It would be unfair to highlight just one thing, but overall, the whole concept is going to be transformational.
