I embarked on a transformational spiritual retreat at Brahma Kumaris with no expectations—only to leave with faith, clarity, and inspiration! Experiencing Amrit Vela, engaging in deep discussions, and witnessing real-life examples of spiritual living opened my eyes to a new way of being. I learned that success and spirituality can go hand in hand, and I now strive to integrate these values into my life.
Hi, my name is Srishti Mahajan and I come from New Delhi. Professionally, I work in the sector of renewable energy with the Indian government, and when we signed up for this retreat, I and my family, we had no clue what we signed up for because we’ve heard a lot about meditation and detox retreats. I just knew that I have to be open-minded, and I signed up for something that I think the universe made me sign up for.
And I came here knowing that this will be a change in the way I lead my life, and after 3 days of immersing myself in Amrit Vela, our sessions, and also interacting with everybody who’s come here, one word that I leave or a key takeaway that I have from here is inspirational and transformational. And in not just what this session has left a mark on me but the way I will lead my life.
And some of these concepts that I heard through the 3 days was not something unknown to me. I’ve heard it in different satsung I’ve attended, I’ve heard it through my grandparents who preached so much when I was growing up, and I’ve also heard it from my parents. But today, in in the last 3 days, I’ve heard the same concepts with logic, with structure, and with a sense of belief and faith, and actual life experiences of people that I had never been privy to.
We met with a doctor who’s living a spiritual life. He’s a part of the society and yet is living his life in a spiritual manner. His successes and achievements in life was new to me, that you can live a certain way which is being preached through these three sessions and still be a part of society, was something extremely new to me.
So I think what I’m leaving from here today is a sense of faith and also a belief in the community of Brahmakumaris, that they all are serving for one purpose, which is for all of us to go back to the seven values, our core values that we’ve forgotten on our path, on our journey on this planet. And I hope to at least embibe some of them as I leave the gates of this premises.
I’d really like to thank all the Sevadharis who helped us refine some of our concepts that we learned. I asked a billion questions to all the Sevadharis, and they were very patient with answering all of them. And I’d like to thank the institution who is trying to make a change in this world, which is very much needed.
Thank you.
