Have you ever wondered why some people are terrified of water, while others enjoy swimming? Or
why someone panics in an elevator, even when they have never been trapped before?
Why do some people have an extreme fear of heights, while others love skydiving?
Most of us assume that fears come from experiences in this lifetime. But what if the reason is much deeper? What if these fears are not random, but memories from past lives? Soul carries impressions from all our past experiences, and these impressions shape who we are today.
Let’s go on a journey to understand how past experiences influence our fears, behaviors, and relationships—and how we can heal them.
Imagine this scenario:
A happy family of six is enjoying a picnic near a river. They are laughing, eating, and celebrating a beautiful day. Suddenly, a strong current of water pulls some of them away. The last thing they see is their loved ones slipping away from their hands. In that moment, the soul leaves the body with deep pain, fear, and helplessness.
Now, imagine that soul is reborn in a new family, in a new body. To the world, this is a newborn baby—a “blank slate.” But in reality, the soul carries all its past memories.
What happens when this child grows up and sees water? A deep, unexplained fear arises. The soul remembers the last painful moment of its previous life, even though the conscious mind does not. The child might not understand why, but just being near water makes them panic.
Now, let’s add another layer to this story. Suppose this child is born to parents who are national-level swimmers. Even before the child is born, the parents dream of making their child an Olympic swimmer. When the child is just two or three years old, they take them to the pool with excitement.
What happens?
The child screams and refuses to enter the water. The parents are confused, even frustrated. “Why is our child afraid of water?” they ask. They feel disappointed, thinking their child is weak or cowardly.
But in reality, the child is carrying a deep memory of drowning from a past life.

💭 Take a moment to reflect:
Now, let’s consider another example—one that may be more relatable in our daily lives.
Do you know someone who is extremely possessive in relationships? They constantly ask their loved ones, “Where are you? When will you come back? What are you doing?” Sometimes, they even get angry or anxious if they don’t get an immediate response.
The person on the receiving end often feels suffocated and frustrated. They may think, “Why are they so controlling? Why don’t they trust me?”
But let’s look at this person not just in this lifetime, but as a soul on a journey.
What if, in a past life, this soul lost their family suddenly—perhaps in a flood, an accident, or a war? What if the last memory in that lifetime was the pain of separation, the fear of losing loved ones?
Now, in this new life, even though the past life is forgotten, the fear of losing people remains. The soul reacts by holding on tightly to relationships, trying to prevent that loss from happening again.
The problem is—neither the person experiencing this fear nor the people around them understand why it exists. This leads to frustration, conflict, and misunderstandings.

💭 Think about it:
Once we understand that our fears and behaviors come from past experiences, we can begin the process of healing. Just as a weak body can be strengthened through exercise, a weak Sanskar (habit, tendency, or fear) can be changed with love, understanding, and blessings.
But how do we do this?
By shifting our perspective from judgment to compassion.
Instead of saying, “Why are you like this?” try saying, “I understand you. I accept you. I bless you.”
—
1️⃣ Close your eyes.
2️⃣ Think of someone whose behavior bothers you. (It could be a family member, friend, or colleague.)
3️⃣ Now, see them not just as a person, but as a soul on a long journey.
4️⃣ Instead of frustration, send them three powerful thoughts:
For example:
5️⃣ Repeat these thoughts daily and notice the change in them—and in yourself.
Every soul carries experiences from past lives and even from the time spent in the mother’s womb. Some bring strengths, while others carry fears or negative patterns. But no matter what we have brought with us, we are not bound by our past.
We can change. We can heal. And we can help others heal.
By understanding this deeper journey of the soul, we shift from Kalyug (a time of negativity, where we judge and criticize) to Satyug (a time of peace and love, where we bless and heal).
Healing begins when we stop judging and start blessing. Are you ready to start this journey?
Sit in a comfortable place. Keep your eyes half-open, allowing light to enter gently. Take a deep breath in…and slowly breathe out. Now, visualize a bright light in front of you—a beautiful soul on a journey. This could be you or someone you love.
🌟 Repeat in your mind:
“I understand you.”
“I accept you.”
“I bless you with love, peace, and strength.”
Let this light grow bigger, filling the space with warmth and positivity. Feel your heart becoming lighter. When you are ready, slowly open your eyes and smile.
Carry this blessing with you throughout the day.
