2026 Moves Forward by Recognising the Self
Start 2026 with an inner reset, not just outer goals. Learn how Rajyoga Meditation helps you break free from autopilot
Every year on the 21st June – International Day of Yog, millions of people across the world take time to reconnect with themselves. Some gather in parks, others sit quietly in their homes.
Many practice asanas (physical postures), breathing techniques, or calming meditations. These beautiful efforts help relax the body and bring balance to the mind — and they have uplifted countless lives across the world.
Alongside these practices for the body, there exists a gentle form of Yog — one that works at the soul level. Taught by the Brahma Kumaris, it is practiced naturally in daily life.
It doesn’t require body movement, postures, or even closed eyes. It can be practiced while cooking, walking, working, or sitting still.
This is Rajyoga — a simple yet powerful way of remembering who we are and connecting the soul to the Supreme Source.
Rajyoga means the “royal connection” — a connection between me, the soul, and the Supreme Soul.
It is not about physical movements.
It is not about controlling the breath.
It is not about forcing the mind to be blank.
Rajyoga is about remembering.
Remembering who I truly am — a peaceful, pure, powerful being of light.
And remembering who I belong to — the One who is always peaceful, always pure, always powerful. That One, who is the Supreme, the Eternal, the Ocean of Peace. The One who is the Parent of all souls.
Rajyoga means building a personal relationship with that Supreme Being — just like a child feels close to a parent, or a best friend feels connected to their dearest friend.
Despite living in a world of technology and convenience, many feel tired inside.
Somewhere deep in the heart, we feel:
Stressed — even when nothing is wrong.
Empty — even when surrounded by people.
Disconnected — even in the age of constant connectivity.
We seek comfort in shopping, scrolling, eating, or achieving. But when the excitement fades, the tiredness returns.
Why?
Because the soul has forgotten its original self.
We have forgotten that we are not just bodies or roles — we are light. Eternal energy.
And we have forgotten our connection with the Supreme — the One who can fill us with peace, power and pure love again.
Rajyoga is the silent bridge that reconnects what was lost.
Whether you’re already feeling happy and stable — it empowers you even more. And if you’re surrounded by negativity, stress, or sorrow — it helps you rise above and heal from within.
“I am not this body. I am a soul — a being of peace.”
With this awareness, something shifts. Calmness returns. When we remember:
“The Supreme is my eternal Parent. I belong to that One.”
That calmness deepens. It becomes sweet. It becomes safe.
This is not imagination. It is remembrance — a deep inner experience, a soul speaking to its Source.
And the most special part is — Anyone can practice this.
You don’t need to change your lifestyle or responsibilities.
Rajyoga respects every path, religion, and belief.
It is about the soul — and every soul has the right to remember its Supreme Parent.
Rajyoga happens in the mind — a faculty (Mind, Intellect, Sanskar) of the soul.
You can practice it while walking, cooking, feeding a child, or lying in bed.
Even one minute of remembrance can bring peace, add sweetness and strength to your journey — like adding light to an already glowing lamp.
As you start remembering who yourself and the Supreme:
Rajyoga brings not just peace — but power:
It’s not a forced change. It’s a natural transformation
Through Rajyoga, the soul connects directly with the Supreme- like light falling on a mirror. And, that light helps in:
This isn’t a theory. It’s felt.
Even trying for five minutes brings an experience.
Sit quietly and think:
“I am a soul. I am peaceful.
I look toward the Supreme.
Light enters me. I am safe. I am full. I am free.”
Even if nothing is felt at first, continue. The connection grows with practice.
You can start right away.
Just sit comfortably. Let your body relax. And gently bring these thoughts:
“I am not this body. I am a peaceful soul.
I am a child of the Supreme.
I am safe in His love.
I take power from Him.
I feel strong. I feel light. I feel refreshed.”
Rajyoga can also be practiced with open eyes. As you move through life, carry this awareness.
This is living Yog.
Rajyoga is not about becoming someone else.
It’s about returning — to who I truly am.
A being of peace. A giver of love. An eternal light.
This International Day of Yog, let it not just be an outer celebration — but an inner homecoming.
A return to peace. A return to purity.
The most beautiful journey begins when we remember
