Inspired Early: A Journey to Lifelong Digital Wellness and Mindful Tech Use

I attended Digital Wellness session when I was seven. I really found  it interesting and  was stunned by the statistics shared. The flow was so natural and genuine, that it made me commit to myself that I will follow these practices and become a digitally healthy citizen. My dad became a digital wellness ambassador and me, my mom and dad cultivate the seed of digital wellness we sowed that day. I enjoy watering it. I use technology for the right things and for the right time period. It helps me stay updated without ingraining unnecessary clutter and distinguish between the beneficial and damaging effects of the use of technology. I thank Brahma Kumaris for uptaking the responsibility of shaping a digitally healthy society and making me realize that technology is sure, a wonderful asset if used wisely, but a smart ruler if overused.

Regained Control Over Screen Time, Boosted Well-Being, and Found Balance

Before participating in the program, I found myself increasingly overwhelmed by the amount of time I was spending in the digital world. The constant influx of notifications, the lure of social media, and the general expectation to be perpetually connected had started to take a toll on my well-being and productivity.

The Digital Wellness Program offered invaluable insights and practical strategies that helped me regain control over my digital habits. Through its structured approach, I learned effective techniques for managing screen time, setting boundaries, and creating a more mindful and balanced relationship with technology.

One of the most significant changes I’ve noticed is a substantial reduction in my daily screen time. By implementing the tools and practices suggested by the program, I’ve been able to allocate more time to meaningful activities and personal interests. This shift has not only enhanced my productivity but also improved my overall mental and emotional well-being.

The program’s emphasis on intentional use of technology and promoting digital mindfulness has allowed me to be more present in my daily life and build stronger connections with those around me. I feel more focused, less stressed, and genuinely more engaged with my personal and professional responsibilities

Eye-Opening Digital Wellness Session: Reducing Screen Time and Reclaiming Control

The digital wellness session done by Digital wellness team was truly eye opening and inspiring. Little do we realise on how much power we have given to our devices! Using the digital tech around us with respect and responsibility, is the best way to our wellness. We need to free ourselves from this ‘addiction’ and start using digital tech for our benefit.

I started becoming more conscious of my screen time – other than official work.

When I finished the session, I deleted Instagram from my phone!  I hope that I can stick with that. 

I’ve also started keeping the phone at the other end of the room and not at my bedside. An added advantage of that is that I need to get out of bed and walk across the room to switch off the alarm !  No snooze required!

Promoting Positive Change: Students Commit to Digital Detox and Mindful Tech Use

I got an opportunity to discuss Digital Detoxification with more than 150 young minds perusing their graduation at BMCC College, one of the most reputed autonomous colleges in Pune. Though each one of them was carrying a mobile, none of them felt the need to check it during those 60 mins of talk. I shared the toxic effects of mobile phones when those are not used wisely. The students were engrossed in listening and understanding the “DIGITAL” formula for the digital detoxification.

The session ended on a positive note when all the students took the pledge not to use their phones while taking food, their first step towards Digital Detoxification

I was very happy to see all the teaching staff including HOD too understanding attentively and few of them sharing the feedback after the session!

This is so satisfying to understand that the Digital Detoxification campaign initiates the positive thought process in individuals’ minds about how to become a true master of one’s self.

Transforming My Life Through Screen Detox: A Journey to Focus and Productivity

I attended a ‘Technology and Screen Detox’ online session facilitated by APTIV (The company I work for). It has made a considerable amount of difference in my lifestyle these last two weeks. The session was taken by Brahma Kumaris Digital Wellness Team. The core of the session as indicated by the name was to spread awareness about the negative effects of Screen overuse.

 Few things I tried out that has helped me reduce Screen Usage over these two weeks. This has not only reduced my screen time drastically but has improved my attention span. With no distractions for hours at a stretch, I was able to finish important things faster. Last week, for the first time, every single item on my daily to-do list had a tick.  

Thank you for a wonderful & enlightening session and i hope to spread this awareness with my friends and readers alike. Happy to be a Digital Wellness Ambassador.
